This workshop is intended for participants with little or no previous knowledge of digital drawing. It is an advantage if you already have some knowledge of classical drawing and/or painting.
Similar to an artist's supply shop, today there are not only a multitude of programmes for digital drawing and painting, but also countless additional tools to work with. This can quickly overwhelm you and lead to frustration. That's why we'll start this workshop with an introduction to the programme and a small selection of tools that we'll be working with throughout the week.
At the beginning, you will warm up by drawing simple geometric shapes. Your teachers will go over the principles of perspective again. As the workshop progresses, you will learn how to simplify organic shapes and draw contour lines.For more three-dimensionality, you will continue to work with and handle different layers and understand light and shadow. You will learn how to create colours and colour layers and design different textures.
At the end of the workshop, you will design a project based on a template using everything you have learnt so far. This will test whether you have understood the principles and techniques and are able to apply them.
